This will not need to be prepared in advance. Please be sure you fill out the below audition form! There will be paper copies at the auditions too. This production of Much Ado About Nothing is through the organization Branch River Theatre, with Sophia Olsen directing the show. The Production will go up in late February, so there is still time, but it is limited. The vibe: If you’ve ever seen a Nancy Meyers movie, you’ll know the vibe of this production. The setting is Leona’s Bougie, upper-class, New England lake house property, where she is hosting a masquerade and getaway for her daughter Hero and her cousin and friends, along with a group of young Marines, who are visiting just after a victory in the war. Hero has a gentle history with Claudio, and Hero’s cousin, Beatrice has a fraught history with Claudio’s good friend Benedick. Prince Don Pedro is the eye in the storm for many of these players, but his step-sibling Don John has plans to sully his brother’s good name, out of spite and jealousy. Will Don John be successful in bringing dark malice to the otherwise light and joyful endeavor, or will the fates have other plans in store? That is for an audience to find out, once there is a cast to bring the story to life!! The following link will bring you to the production’s website. https://sites.google.com/branchrivertheatre.org/brtmuchado?pli=1 Please reach out to Sophia Olsen and/or Katrina Feraco, the stage manager, if you are interested, and please fill out an audition form (contact info and audition the form can be found via the above link).
