Bring the family for a “Fire Building Class” at Stonewall Farm on Saturday, February 8th at 1:30pm.

Build a 1 match fire and learn to make fire by rubbing two sticks together! In this class, we will extensively cover fire safety along with using modern and primitive tools to start fires. A great gift idea and family fun event! Gear and materials will be provided but please feel free to bring your own gear.

This class is a family class and has been structured to teach adults, teens, and children learning together in one class.

SKILLS COVERED:
*Fire Safety
*Fire Building
*Carving Feather Sticks
*Ferro Rod Fires
*Hand Drill and/or Bow Drill Fire
*Natural Tinder Selection

REQUIRED GEAR:
*OEWS Basic or Complete Kit (optional, but highly recommended)
*Warm clothes, water, and snacks.
*Knives, sharpeners, and fire starters will also be available for sale at the beginning of class.

When: Saturday, February 8th at 1:30 – 3:00 PM

Where: Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Rd, Keene, NH. In the Learning Center, first floor (same building as the Farm Store)

Cost: $25/person (participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a ticketed adult)

Space is limited. Advanced registration and payment are required. $10 of the total payment is non-refundable.
