Tanglewood Park Co-Op in Keene is hosting a fundraising event this Saturday September 14th from 8am-1pm. There will be a yard sale(as well as a park wide yard sale), bake sale, hot dogs, chips and beverages for sale (all proceeds from these sales go towards their storm recovery fund; except for the residents that have their own yard sale) as well as music and a craft fair.

This past July, Tanglewood Park Cooperative was hit by the storm. Ten houses were damaged to the point of being red-tagged as uninhabitable and over 50 others sustained bad damage.
It has taken four weeks for McClure’s Tree service to clean up the tree damage which has cost the Co-op $260,000.
There are still 500 trees that are deemed unsafe with the potential of falling onto more homes. This cost will probably be over $250,000. There is an estimate that the damage has reached $1.4 million.
Tanglewood is a fairly new Co-op and has, unfortunately, used up its emergency funds. This storm has not been considered the result of a tornado, therefore, the Co-op has not
received any funding from FEMA, or from any other local, state, or national resource. Understandably, residents are very concerned that with winter coming, these 500 trees
pose a threat to the community, damaging yet more houses, other property, or injuring residents. The co-op realizes that it certainly can’t raise all of that money with one fundraiser, but it’s
a start. All proceeds from the “Storm Recovery Fundraiser” will go into the Co-op’s recovery fund. There are two entrances to Tanglewood Park Co-Op: 10 Sparrow Street, off upper Court Street and Oriole Avenue off Maple Avenue.
