A reverent reading of the names of the Sept. 11 victims will be presented at the Cathedral of the Pines, in Rindge, NH this Saturday, September 11th. The milestone memorial will begin at 8:45 AM,, rain or shine. The Cathedral of the Pines is a non-denominational sanctuary. The public is invited.
The remembrance is presented by the Remember to Remember September 11 organization. It honors the 2,977 people who were killed by the terrorist attack against the United States on September 11, 2001. Nearly 400 of the victims were from New England. The solemn ceremony will take approximately 3 hours.
Among those attending will include: State Senators Denise Ricciardi and Kevin Avard, State Representatives Richard Ames, John Hurt, Jennifer Rhodes, Matthew Santonastaso, and James Qualey, State Trooper John Lucero, a Police Officer, Fire Fighter and EMS Responder from Jaffrey, NH, Fire Chief Thomas Vanderbilt from Dublin, NH, First Officer Lawrence Cutler, American Airlines, for the Allied Pilots Association, Chamber of Commerce Presidents Lynda Hunt and Cyndy Burgess, and Boy Scout Troop 33 of Jaffrey, NH.
