Violin & Piano Favorites at the Park Theatre in Jaffrey on Friday, February 17th at 7:30pm.
An early Sonata by Beethoven opens the concert, full of humor and brilliance, followed by Schubert’s exquisite Fantasie for Violin & Piano. The concert will be brought to a virtuosic climax with the huge Violin Sonata by Cesar Franck which was written for a friend’s wedding. Franck’s Violin Sonata beautifully captures the story of falling in love, conflict, resolution and finally marriage, culminating in cascading Parisienne wedding bells.
