Thursday Bible Study on First and Second Samuel
The Rev. Joseph David Stinson hosts a Bible class at the First Congregational Church of Swanzey each Thursday @ 1030am through until May 4th. The two books of Samuel narrate the stories of the first two kings of Israel: Saul and David. They contain accounts and promises of God’s ways with his people, during a time of frequent war, of sin and redemption. Among these are stories of David and Goliath, the prophet Samuel, David’s friend Jonathan, David’s sin with Bathsheba, and the loss of David’s son Absalom.
New students of Scripture are welcomed to attend. The church building is located in Swanzey on Rte. 32 just south of town hall and the Mt. Caesar Library.
