” Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.: Power to Heal”, a community commemoration will take place at the Park Theatre in Jaffrey on Monday, January 17th from 5 to 6pm featuring keynote speaker Dr. James Waller on “Power to Heal: Hope for America’s Deeply Divided Society”.

Dr. Waller is Cohen Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keene State College, an internationally recognized teacher, scholar and award-winning author in the field of conflict studies and resolution.  The talk will challenge each of us to recommit to Martin Luther King Jr.’s call to build a beloved community.

Musical performances by Jaffrey-Rindge School District choruses and the Hutchinson Family Ensemble of Hancock; announcements regarding National Day of Service drive to assist Afghan evacuees and the Jaffrey-Rindge Millipore-Sigma MLK Student Scholarships.  Free; reservations and updates at MLK Celebration Jaffrey-Rindge on FB.
