Once again, The Park Theatre is asking the public to perform 5-10 minutes of anything. Music, magic, comedy, storytelling, juggling, dancing, anything entertaining. Last month, Park Theatre Open Mic Night had six music acts, one poet, and one storyteller. Open Mic is set for this Thursday, August 4, at 8pm in the King Auditorium at The Park Theatre.
So, if you think you have the talent and are willing to show it off in front of a live audience, go for it. Open Mic Nights are held on the first Thursday night of each month.
There is a $5 fee to register and enter. There are a maximum of 8 performers for the evening. Each performer is asked to have an act that is between 5-10 minutes in length.
It was so popular last month, that the performer list was over-subscribed. Those performers have first access to slots this month. Several performer slots are still available.
You can also be an audience member for the Open Mic Night. Tickets cost only $5 each. The program begins at 8pm on August 4. The theatre’s bar will be open.
Potential performers can register at theparktheatre.org/openmic. Additional information and guidelines are also found at that link.
