Join Dr. Desiree Narango on Tuesday, Dec. 8th at 5:30 p.m. for an engaging virtual presentation on why native plants matter for pollinators and songbirds. Narango will share her research on residential landscaping, non-native plants and insect eating bird populations. She will provide information on why plants and insects matter for bird conservation in human-dominated ecosystems. She will also give recommendations for plant choices to create high-quality bird habitat in your backyard. Dr. Narango is a wildlife ecologist at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, interested in conservation solutions that help people and wildlife in shared working and living landscapes. This free event is co-sponsored by Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environmental Center and the Northfield Bird Club.
