Join Dr. Desiree Narango on Tuesday, Dec. 8th at 5:30 p.m. for an engaging virtual presentation on why native plants matter for pollinators and songbirds.  Narango will share her research on residential landscaping, non-native plants and insect eating bird populations.  She will provide information on why plants and insects matter for bird conservation in human-dominated ecosystems.  She will also give recommendations for plant choices to create high-quality bird habitat in your backyard.  Dr. Narango is a wildlife ecologist at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, interested in conservation solutions that help people and wildlife in shared working and living landscapes.  This free event is co-sponsored by Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environmental Center and the Northfield Bird Club.

To register, go to www.bookeo.com/northfield.  Registration requests must be received at least 24 hours before program begins.
