Join Kim Noyes, FirstLight’s Northfield Mountain Education Coordinator, for a brisk walk and celebration of the winter solstice on Tuesday, December 21st from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. We’ll share poetry and prose and explore how different cultures around the world have honored this celestial event. The program will close with a campfire as the afternoon light fades and the sun sets on the shortest day of the year.
Footwear may be winter boots, cleats or snowshoes (required if we are open for skiing and available to rent for $16). Participants must be 18 years or older and comfortable hiking over moderately hilly terrain. Masks needed for group gathering. Pre-registration is required as group size is strictly limited for this free program. Register at www.bookeo.com/northfield.
