United Way of Greater Nashua’s annual “Community-Wide Food Drive” is coming up on June 4th and 5th and we’re looking for volunteers to help us collect 2 tons of food for our local soup kitchens and food pantries. The summer months are the time of year when food donations at their lowest, and we’ll be helping fill soup kitchens’ and pantries’ increased need of donations with our drive at nearly 15 stores during the first weekend in June. The drive will take place from 10am to 2pm on both days at supermarkets and convenience stores in Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack, Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, and Milford. Volunteers will be distributing flyers to interested shoppers and encouraging them to purchase extra items to donate. We’ll be assigning teams of 6 to 8 people to convenience stores and up to 4 people at smaller stores. If you or your group would like to participate, please register at the link below or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (603)438-2173.
